The Great MN Get-together

Last Friday we took our annual trip to the MN State Fair. We enjoyed all of our favorite activities and tried a couple of new ones. As always, we had our share of food, including many of our favorites, who can resist cheese curds, malts and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. We shared among all five of us so that's only one fifth of the calories...that makes it okay, right?! Below are pictures of some of our favorite things this year:

Tyler playing life sized fooseball at the channel 45 booth:
Tyler playing wiffle ball at the twins booth. He caught one for an out and was so close to hitting it out of the park when he was up to bat.

Nicholas throwing pitches at the Twins booth...he impressed some of the people waiting in line!

Gotta have Sweet Martha's Cookies while at the fair:

Marisa petting a calf at the Moo Booth:
Our favorite farmhands:

The kids like to make projects at the Home Depot booth each year. This year they all made the same project - little trays. The boys plan on painting theirs and then carrying their legos with them. Marisa will use hers in her little kitchen.
Nicholas on one of the rides:

We were a little worried about the weather holding out...but even though the sky got pretty cloudy and threatened rain, all we got were a few sprinkles. Tyler was excited as he won a MN Wild basketball by making a mini basketball shot at one of the carney games. The kids also enjoyed seeing all of the fire trucks and pumping water from an old fashioned pumper truck as Friday was firefighters day at the fair. A good time was had by all of us and we are looking forward to next year!
