Easter Egg Hunt

This past Sunday, we took Nicholas and Marisa to the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at St. Mark's Church. They enjoyed the activities that were set up for before the hunt: Cookie decorating, coloring, making a towel rabbit, and meeting the Easter Bunny. Even though we woke up to snow in the morning, the egg hunt was held outside. Most of the snow had melted prior to the hunt, but there was still some snow on the hillside. Marisa was able to go in the first group and she found her ten eggs before Nicholas even made it out to the yard! Nicholas found his fast as well, and they have been enjoying the candy ever since. Each day, Marisa says "basket, basket" - which means she wants me to bring her basket down from the top of the refrigerator and let her pick a piece of candy! I had to move it up because she is able to climb up on the counter and get into the cabinet, so far she hasn't made it to the top of the refrigerator and I am hoping she never does!!!!

Marisa and her cookie - yummy!!!

The long wait before the hunt - we ended up waiting for quite awhile as the last mass at church took longer than normal:
Opening their eggs to see what all they got -mmmm chocolate!

Hope everyone has a blessed Easter!
