On Friday, we went to Nickelodean Universe with the kids since they didn't have school. It took Nicholas a little while to warm up to go on the rides, but once he started, it was hard to get him to stop. Tyler wanted to ride everything and as soon as possible. He and Dad started on the Avatar Airbender, which looks like a surfboard with spinning seats attached. Tyler's favorite ride was the Rock Bottom Plunge and he rode it many, many times. Mom and Dad each rode it a few times with him, but he went quite a few by himself also. The lines were not too long so he was able to keep riding most of the rides pretty quickly. Nicholas loved the Rugrats crazy cars (bumper cars for little kids). He was a pretty good driver, but you could tell he was avoiding getting bumped, until Tyler rode it with him. Nicholas went after Tyler at every turn then. It was pretty hilarious to watch, especially for Mom, who had just finished watching Tyler and his dad do the same thing on the regular bumper cars! Nicholas' other favorites were the Backyardigans swing, Diego's bus and the Ghostblasters ride. Tyler also enjoyed the Fairly Oddparents twister coaster and the log ride.
Here are some of the pictures from the day:

Marisa waiting for the boys to get off of a ride. She liked the flowers in the park:

Tyler on the bumper cars:

All of us meeting Spongebob. Nicholas didn't want to get too close to him and Marisa wasn't sure what to think, but she didn't seem too scared:
Tyler's favorite ride, the Rock Bottom Plunge...You ride straight up the first hill, then go straight down and loop to loop upside down similar to the corkscrew at Valleyfair. If you can make it through the first hill, it's not too bad:
The boys on the Backyardigans Swing:
Nicholas on the Rugrats Crazy Cars:
Nicholas on the ride home...not sure why he needed work goggles on, but it looked pretty funny when he fell asleep in the car:

As you can see, we all had a good time and the boys are already asking to go back!
